1) Exits the stylomastoid foramen. 2)SVA-think taste to ant 2/3 of tongue and chordi a tympani medial to tympanic membrane 3)GVE-think of lacrimal and submandibular GLANDS! But there is more!! Cmon guys!! :shock:

GVA is not clinically significant SVE think of muscles of branchiomeric origin GSA- think external ear On rounds its sounds good if you know what crocodile tears are.

Submandibular and Sublingual Glands are innervated for it. 6. Orgin in Solitary Nucleus for taste afferents. 7. Supply parasympathetic fibers for lacrimal gland. 8. Secretory function for nasal and oral epithelial glands. 9. Postsynpatic parasympathetic neurons in pterygopalatine ganglion 10. It is the most complicated cranial nerve
