Hi Congrats to all who matched this year .All the best I,m IMG from India currently in UK in sugery It would be on immense help if someone who got through residency help. My credentials 2001 graduated,step 1 score 78(MRSC exams same Week) step 2 98 appearing for CS in july Membership exam of Royal college of Surgeons -London Currently MSc in a reputed university in Uk-part time currently working in Surgery .keen to puruse surgery in US What are my chances in getting Surgery residency in US 2006 Thanks for your time and help

You sure do stand a very good chance even in Categorical Surgery assuming you can work in the US. What is your Visa situation? Do you need H1 or J1? Your Step 2 score and current surgical experience should be of a big help. Just make sure yoy get a back up from some US surgeons.

Hi Thank you very much I need Hi visa but I,m sure if J1 from a reputed University will be of good help. What do you feel i should aim for? Is LOR from a Consultant In Surgery (currenlty working for him)who did a Fellowship from Mass General Hospital equal to US LOR ? Please let me know
