Hello, I'm practicing cases in First aid recently. There's a case c/o "memory loss" not too surprised I'll have a lot of "must ask" and "must do". But there's only 15 minutes! How could one ever compete the lenghthy history (daily care, need help for fressing/eating..blablabola...head trauma..previous stroke..sexual health...) and complete the neurologic exams(CN II-XII), and also MMSE, muscle power, DTR, Romberg test..? I tried once but can't finished all these within 25 minutes. the neurologic exams alone may take more than 5 minutes! :? Any good strategy for such cases? really need some help here. Thanks a lot

I know the feeling. I went in hoping I wouldn't have to do neuro exams... :-) (I had to do two, and it was tight, even without the MMSE) Make a scaled-down version of the neuro exam (I did Grasset, skipped Barré, did Romberg, skipped knee-heel etc). Still don't know if I passed, but there is no WAY they can require you to do EVERYTHING...
