Hi there:
Endorphin consists of a family of endogenous opioid
peptides originally isolated from the pituitary gland.
These peptides, known as α-, β- and γ-endorphin, have
potent opiate and neuroendocrine activities.1-3 They are
formed by cleavage from a common precursor protein
β-lipotropin (1-91) [β-LPH (1-91)].4 β-LPH itself arises
along with adrenocorticotrophic hormone (ACTH) and
α-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH) from a
large precursor, propiomelanocortin (POMC).
i really dont know about enkephalin, if u know then tell me. thanks
