ofcourse not.....vit.d def in a child (rickets) will result in overgrowth of cartilagenous cells unlike osteogenesis imperfecta leading to frontal bossing and all tht crap!

well i don't know abt child....but in adults vit.d def. will hv same clinical manifestation as osteoporosis ...... gneralized osteopenia.....
to differentiate we use laboratry values of AP,Ca,PO4
