hi
i have kaplan immunology 2001 edition. is it enough for immuno? have 20 days to go before my step 1 so wondering if its worthwhile spending the extra day reading the 2004 kaplan immunology ( heard it has about 100 pages extra).

I read both of them and althought the 2005 is longer, the bulk of the content stays pretty much the same as the 2001. Theres a few appendacies in the end of the 2005 edition but I didn't even get a chance to memorize them, just read them over a few times, and none of it was on my exam. You wouldn't be missing much just looking at 2001

thanks dude. guess will stick to the old notes. time is a major constraint right now. From what i understood, u meant that although the topics r same, latest kaplan covers them more in detail with more spacing per page (adding the bulk). correct me if i am wrong

with the exception of an HIV section and a vaccine section in the 2005. The Hiv section and vaccine section overlap in micro so if you know whats in the micro kaplan notes your cool. You'll be fine with the old version. trust me, most of my usmle immuno questions were conceptual and not route memorization. i didn't have any questions that were specifically what does this IL do? besides, that is in the 2001 notes anyways
