what you think guys i am doing q bank my avarege is 73% did 1300 q, scoring between 74 and 78 few high 50, and few high 60-s i am very scared because thinking i remember someof those q from last year when i was preparing for step1 , i don't think this is my real score, also have problem with gross anatomy what you suggest what i should do. i have left 6 more weeks to go. please give me some advice.

youre supposed to remember the questions hahaha. i love it when people say the questions aren't good because youve already dont them. the point is to learn the concept tested. qbank is filled with high yield concepts, so dont worry. i say take the NBME and get a strong idea of where you stand and take it from there. good luck.

thank you for your reply, i will do nbme test in few weeks probably 3 weeks before my test date i am taking step1 in may25 what about you did you take it already, good luck to you too and you'll be in my prauers.

thank you leenah, some days i think i know something and somedays i don't have clue about anything very tired but still trying, hope when i take my nbme test i'll get good score i don't really want to post pone it i am sick and tired of this usmle. good luck to you when you taking test in may i mean what date? did you do nbme what made to [post pone you test?

I had a long story with this test ..I'm still waiting for the ecfmg to send me the new permit so I can reschedule my test hopefully before June..

i think i remember you, ooooh i am so aout of this world, me and my step1 going nuts, only thing keeps me sane is my little boy. i thin you'll be fine i think you took nbme isn't it and that is what made you change your mind is this you first time taking test.

Hi could someone please help me. ive been doing the LWW Board simulator series question on the CD and cant believe some of the questions they ask, especially in a block of 50 questions 10 will be on neuroanatomy lesions, matching the history witha diagram with different lesions. is this reflective of the actual step 1 test.
please let me know. I am an IMG in london studying foe this stupid exam on my own with no real contacts so i would appreciate your views

hi rk i think lww q are little complicated than q bank q , they are good learning tool, but it's better if you going to do kaplan q bank, i think lww q also little old and has different format, but it won't hurt to do those q after q bank, regarding nme test people say to do after you finished your reading and q bank , in my opinion you have to do 20 days before of your real test to have enough time to revise your weak areas.good luck to you when you planing to take test?

hi im sitting the exam on the 6th may 2005. thanks for your advice on lww. i think im not gonna do it cos its very demoralising as my score is so low in it, 50-55% and in nms i get 70-75% and q bank is 70%.
its my 1st attemt , i dont know how im gonna do. lets see

hi rk i think you doing just fine if your score in kaplan q bank is 70 you have a good chance to get really high score. what about nbme when you planning to take it. good luck to you wish you luck.

hi mana, thanks for your support.im thinking of taking the nmbe this week. trying to find the time to do all 4 blocks of one paper. what do you think of the kaplan q book questions.. im doing a mixture of revisinf FA, doing nms questions, q bank, q book, reviewing goljans high yield notes and re listening to some of his audio lectutes. what is the most important thing to do at this stage, ie 2 weeks before the exam. i can only manage 5 hours of study a day due to home committments

i think right now is importent to revise kaplan notes and fa. q book q also are very good. also don't delay doing nbme test that will show your weak areas and start revised from those subject in wich your more weak. i am in same situation i have 20 mo old boy and very difficult to study for me more than 6 hours a day, but don't worry i think you'll do fine if you keep your level of anxiaty low.

hi my exam in may 25. and i'm in us, i am really confused at this point because everything depends on nbme test i am going to take it next monday if score willbe low than i am going to delay step1 exam and study for step2cs and take it in june, and after that i will worry about step1 . that is my plans. what about you did you already took step2 cs or ck?

hi, no i havent done any of the other steps yet. im gonna do the step 1 whatever my score is. ive done 2 blocks of the nbme and its tiring man, i needed a break. do the results come instantly. i know what you mean by weak areas, like ive discovered after 2 blocks i need to read 2nd messangers and biostats, like odds ratio calculations etc. lets see how the next 2 blocks go.the questions are easier overall than q bank, q book or that lww BSS.

hi rk you 'll get results right a way, secod messangars are big on real test, consantrat on it, i don't think statistics are that big of the deal by revise them anyway.
let me know about you nbme results, keep high spirit and good faith everything will be fine, i am little down today i have 150 q left on my q bank my overall score is 73 but today i did bad just 66 and 68 %, i don;t know what is going on with me. i think i am going to do physio q bank after this, i want so bad to be done with this stupid step1 i am like on the dead end street and not going anywhere i am so tired of this, sorry to tell you about my problems.
