I hung in there though, and really do appreciate this forum! Bravo, Way to go! I really want to know about your strategy as you appeared for 4 times! You know better than most about this exam, and you can share your experience with us.Even though I am done with the exam, you will help so many others who are just about to take the exam. Please tell us in details about 1.Howmany months you preared each attempt 2.Howmany hours a day 3.What books you prepared 4.Did you follow any livelectues or Videos 5.Do you think that the general adage of " 2 months for step 1, 2 weeks for step 2 and 2 no. pencil for step 3(meaning no preparation ) is true even if it is for US trained graduates? 6.What q books and q banks did do you? 7.Did you prepare your own notes or questions? Hope this is enough , so that you can give us a detailed account of your experience and wisdom. Thanks very many in advance

Thanx for your interest...please PM me for details that may help you...I noted that each doctor has had differing troubles...I will tell you whether your specific case matches mine (unlike many other posts that give long lists of difficult books--that are impossible to read!)... Thanks again...

Do loads of questions. Figure out your approach for common conditions a Generalist would do in OP, like BP, Diabetes,Asthma,TB, AIDS,General Obstetrics,Few surgical conditions like Appendicitis,Testicular torsion etc. Focus on Next best step in Management for all the conditions which you would encounter in OPD, Like , after giving Acetaminophen for Headache, what is the next best step? Those who have completed a couple of years of residency in Internal Meidicine or Family medicine find these very basic and elementary, but for us (IMGs) it requires practice and then memorization. It is imminently doable exam. Dont worry, Get going. All the very best
