in ARDS, it says in goljan that it is a NEUTROPHIL related injury, but in one of my questions it says it is a macrophage related, with low neutrophils..

anyone understand this?

Thanks! good luck

ARDS - is a type of injury mediated by mediators ... i.e Cytokines etc .... wich are released in shock states, trauma etc .. Now these mediators can be released by Neutros or the Mac's .. ! So .. I guess .. both mediate the injury .. but the neutros play an important part !
