Does anyone know why the obturator foramen exists?
It does not seem to be an exit route for any major structure?

I think its good for nothing.
It is bounded by a strong membrane ,but the action is superiorly at the obturator groove, which becomes the obturator canal thru which obturator
vessels and nerve passes. Also it is almosted filled by a strong membrane.
