is it a bad idea to have a baby during first year/?
how bad??we want to have a kid asap but was wondering wnht would be an ok time
i know pregnancy during residency anytime is a bd idea
but somehow feel there is never an ideal time to do
so thought do it asap,
many peopel ahve told me 2nd year is best
but somehow waiting taht long seems too long
its a personal question but need some advice

You are right - there is no good time. Just let your program know as soon as you know you are pregnant so that arrangements can be made in your schedule.

p.s. Just don't be like my resident who is on child #2 in her second year with us......
