Q01 - During a prenatal visit, a 25-year-old woman who is
10 weeks’ pregnant comments that she feels too
nauseated and fatigued to be interested in sex, and
her husband wonders if they will ever be sexually
active again. The most appropriate next step is to
advise her that sexual interest often returns during
which of the following periods?

During pregnancy sexual desire usually decreased b/c of,
a)Physical discomfort
b)Association of motherhood...sexual attractiveness dec:
c)fear of harming the fetus.

2nd triemester.

Sometimes it is even indicated to have sexual intercourse to accelerate
delievery durring the final weeks of the pregnancy.

Can you tell me in which situations it is indicated ?

Yes, it is indicated in those conditions or in those women who are in false labour but do not have strong contractions/dilatation to go into true labour. As sex increases Prostaglandin levels which can produce sufficient cont. so it is advised even by doctors and Nurses that go and do sex to induce natural labour.........
