Hello BBB,
Thank you very much for your valuable advise in this forum. I am a FMG. Here are my credentials - 99/99/ECFMG certified/ waiting for Step 3 result/ 1997 graduate/ 3 years general surgery residency in home country/ matched for a preliminary position in general surgery in a good university program.
What do you think will be my chances for a PG year 1/2 categorical position in 2006 match. Do the programs still consider me an old graduate even after doing prelim surgery? If you see my credentials, I am no way inferior to fresh graduates. Why do the programs give so much weightage to year of graduation? I could not get a satisfactory response from any one. I appreciate your response.
