Dear fellow med students,

Two questions for y'all:

I am (like most of you) studying for my step 1 for the first time. I have heard that Goljan has Pathology study notes that are available somewhere on the internet. I have tried Kazaa but have been unsuccessful. Where can I get them?

Also, I am setting up my study schedule as follows. Each wee, I will be studying four hour blocks in each of the following subjects: Biochem, Gen, Histo, Embryo, Behaviour, Immunology. I will be studying eight hour blocks in Phys, Anat., Micro, Pharm. And twelve hour blocks in Pathology. I will be studying one subject for a period of four hours maximum, so Path will be done in three blocks spread out over the week. Does this sound like an appropriate schedule for those that have done research/written the exam?

Thanking you in advance,

let me tell you, this is a brilliant schedule... i am sure you will score real high if u followed it as planned...

so, how many hours/ week u gonna study and for how many weeks?? dont forget to leave plenty of time for the Qbanks!

good luck doc.

ok, i counted it... it is about 11 hours/day for 6days aweek and one day off!

that sounds good.. i wish i can do that,, i am working 2 full time jobs, married and trying to find 4-5 hours/day... and planning to take the test in march....

one thing i might mention is the unequality of importance of say: embryo and immun. and beh sci.---- u put 4 hours for each, but i guess they are not equal in importance... u know what i mean... i believe for example that the Beh sc. is 4 times more import. than embry, 2 times more import. than immuno..

did u get my point???

i will be glad to communicate more with you about this interesting issue
