following suregery (appendicectomy) a female pt comes to see a doc for loss of interest in sexual contact with her husband.She says she had fighted with her husband latenight.She also states about the pressure at work and she is unable to cope with it.Medical history shows that she was taking sertaline for past 2 yrs and O.C. pills for past 5 yrs.Which of the follwoing is most likely reason for her reported suppression of libido:
A. O.C. pills
B. marital discord
C.post operative recovery
D. work stress
E. serotonin agents

The only O.C. med that is notorious for causing decreased Libido
(and also Gynecomastia) is CIMETIDINE, that I can remember.

While Sertraline is notorious for causing decreased Libido.
