Hi, I have taken step 1, and 2 and now thinking about taking step 3 before residency for the next yr. I have no clinical exp in USA. How long would it take for me to prepare for step3? and what material should i use. People who have clinical exp can study just one or two books like crush or strong med (i havent seen strong med, how is that book?) etc, but what should i study (with no clinical exp)? Are the same books good for me too? or should i read kaplans or usmle world notes?

Well it depends on what score you are aiming for. If you want to just pass the exam for H1 purposes than i dont think it would be much of problem. i read for only 4 to 6 weeks. used kaplans for step 2, most of swanson, some chapters of crush, ccs from usmleworld and kaplan q book for questions. No qbank nor usmleworld questions and I passed it with a score of 86. also i didnt had any sort of clincal experience as i am fresh grad. so dont worry and go ahead.
