Hi!

Is Diplomate in National Board(DNB) from India recognised in the US ?Do they also have to take USMLE?Please respond.

Every one who completed medical school in another country must complete the USMLE exams and obtain ECFMG certification.....

No matter where one comes from and what...TITLES ... one bears, one HAS TO TAKE THE USMLE. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks.As DNB is recognised in UK & a few other countries,I was just curious to know if it was recognised here as well.

Hi ,
It is not easy to take DNB. It is much much tougher than the USMLE.. Only a few takers pass in the first time

come on! patty , i think u havent taken dnb. i think it is very easy . i have already taken it. but the problem lies in getting admission after getting through it.ok

usmle is not just for foreigners, it is also for those who graduated from USA too.

hi , for those who finished DNB in pediatrics, and who want to join residency in pediatrics, the news is it is recognised! in the sense you get a concession of 6 months to one year in your residency period, depending on the state! but you are not exempted from USMLE at all . you have to go through the whole process,step 1,2,3 and csa. i hope this info helps.
