I took my test in feb. 25th. I'm taking the Kaplan Course in May... What else should I study with? What other books do I prepare with??? Thank you...

hi. sorry to hear about you're failure. With a score like that, there might be something basic you did not gain from the kaplan books. Kaplan books are review books, not books to learn a subject in. And what I can understand is that the questions are somewhat theoretical these days. Maybe a change of books are in order, ones that are more comprehensive.

The content of Kaplan is enough for basic science. You need concise review books before exam. FA only review basic knowledge. I will suggest you go through 'Step-up for Step 1' bofore exam. That book link basic knowledge to clinical knowledge. USMLE test basic knowledge in clinical setting. If you still have time, try finish a smallest book of internal medicine such as "High-Yield internal medicine" or 'Medicine Recall'. In my experience, I can not figure out what is the diagnosis of the questions so I do not know the answer. Some questions are difficult if you do not have clinical experience.

I will be taking the Kaplan Live Lecture in May to July 3rd... I hope this is enough... I'm studying the books now, and will study them after the course too...
