in general, i think kaplan notes are fantastic, but i find the nephro section really insufficient!...i can't tell if it's that or that it's just poorly organized!...did anyone else think this?...is there a better alternative that is neither too lengthy nor too concise? any advice is greatly appreciated.

i agree with u. I think its not properly organized, have u tried blue prints ?

Thats is probably because you are supossed to use the notes along with the lectures.
I have the lectures in DVD's and in some -not all of them- areas Doctors give you more that it is in the notes (Nephrology is one example). Although i havent taken the step 2 exam probably it is a good idea to complement some areas -the ones you consider to be insufficient- with blueprints (if you dont have the lectures).

good luck

hello
could u plz advise as to what lectures one should see..in ur opinion...as that takes up a lot of time !!!

yes the notes seem insufficient, but you can get a 99 just by reading Kaplan notes alone. When I studied for step II, I thought they were much worse than the step I notes. I was quite worried they weren't enough for step II. But trust me, Kaplan must know what they are doing, because they are just enough info to get a 99. If you have the time, by all means, feel free to supplement.

That's great news. I didnt want to buy blueprints or other books ($) Thank you retroviridae

ayeshah ...if you have the lectures and time, listen to nephrology, cardio, and OB/GYN. The rest is in the notes, specially surgery- it is all in notes-

happy studying grin
