Hi, Iam an Indian, doing research on J1 visa at university.

What are the chances I will get the waiver if I apply for one (thru NOC from India)?

Is it advisable to get a lawyer for this process?
How do you tell that its a j1 research visa, i mean looking at tha visa.
how will guys working at state deptt will know its j1 research visa.

kindly anyone (with MBBS/Md degree from India ) who were on j1 research visa and got it converted to H1 will email me on amitforfrd@yahoo.com.I am in dire need of some information .
Anykind of help/info greatly appreciated.

Hey.....I know a great site that you can get some info on J1 WAIVER..
it is actually not that difficulty if you are where you are looking

and there site where you can registered for free and searching for availiable J1 waiver program across the country....all the info are contained in the link page that I have posted above...
