HI GUYS!
i took my exam on feb 25th and i thought i did ok i thought i at least got a 182 everybody that i know passed the exam i studied so hard for it
i worked so hard
i still didnt get my results i treid the oasis trick and it let me regrister
i called ecfmg today and ask them what was up with my results they told me it was sent out on wednesday and i still didnt get it yet
so i told him about my problem becuz if i failed i want to regrister for the next window which the dead line ends on march 31st i told him i did the oasis thing he pretty much hinted that i failed and i should go ahead and regrister for the next period so i dont miss it
i'm so depressed
i dont know what to do
i did kaplan live lectures
q bank and everything i memorized first aid
i dont know how to approach studying again i just wish we knew our results that day its so annoying waiting a month for it to findo ut u failed
i just wasted a month this is so annoying i'm so sad

Study again... You can do it this time... Everything's still fresh so just read again & try to f igure out what you missed or did not do. Its hard to redo things but you'll soon make it.. just dont give up. Reread you Kaplan notes..

hey, sorry to hear this.
I talked to a friend the other night too in detail about this as well. It really pains me to hear his bad news because he's a good friend and he studied hard for it.
I told him to take some time off to clear his mind about the situation at first. Then evaluate what he did wrong based on his score sheet, look what he did before for those subject matters, try to address those more this time around. Spend more time on those subjects he had more problems in.
Try different sets of questions from different sources. Make sure you got the basics down.
Sorry to speak in generalities, but hopefully this will get you going in the right direction.
As for the score report, I have yet to recieve mine either. I think the mailman hates me.

yea thanx guys
i know its really horrible all the time and money i spend in the freakin exam whats hard is that i dont have the money to do it again i have to get a part time job
well i guess God knows best and its not the end of the world its just hard looking ur parents in the face like i've done something wrong and i'm a failure i dont know how to reapproach this crap again
its so expensive 675 dollars just for the exam i really hope the next shot is the one i cant go on forever

any other advice on question banks since i did q bank and iv q bank the first time and i was scoring 55-73% i dunno what went wrong well n e way i dont want to use q bank again since i practically know all the answers i did it twice oh well pray for me plz

hey
well i am also doing kaplan notes over again i didnt emphasize biochem and anatomy as much as i should of
and this time around i'm doing golgan i like it a lot its time comsuming but its worth it becuz he intregrates alot of stuff
i'm doing q bank over again but i really want to do another question bank and nobody suggested n e thing
also i didnt emphasize first aid enough so this time around i am doing all the things i did wrong
also
i know its hard becuz all my friends started rotations and this is a set back for me but i'm trying to hang in there so i dont mess this shot again
but what are you doing?

I am restudying some weak ereas from my exam, like endocr., biochemistry. I don't think i did enough practice qs. I will try something other than kaplan Q bank. The problem is that it is sad emontionly by going over one more time. Do you know how to find Goljan audio lecture from internet? I have never tried.

i think the rapid review for step1 which comes with 350 q in a book and a cd with over 1000 q,s is really good. its by dr.goljian

hi-i hear your pain-i missed passing by 8 points! i studied for a good 3 mts and i concentrated on Golyan's audios, the FA, kaplan patho-this time around i've bought USMLE step one secrets-i think it is always a good idea to use a supplement just to get your motivation back on track-i am so bored of FA-but i have to look it over atleast once! I also purchased NMS questions-it comes with a CD-so that itself is another means of practicing more questions-granted they are tougher than Kaplan questions-the book has decent explanations-so you might want to try that book as well-the ISBN number on that NMS book is 07817-3292-1
the plan is currently to keep doing question and review FA, Golyan's audio and notes...keep the faith, my friend, we almost passed and we will surpass this time!
