the inferior mesenteric artery. He does not have

i will go with middle colic as the inf. mesentric is blocked.

sigmoid is branch of inf. messentric

I agree, middle colic is from superior mesenteric arterie, could be given collateral trough marginal artery to the territory of inferior mesenteric artery, which would be unlikely if the contrary case, that is, if the superior mesenteric artery would be blocked
