hi,

phillyihouse stands for Philadelphia International House, its one or two blocks away from CS center. just go www.usmle.com, then go to CSA, then CS enters then lodging where they provide a list of hotels where we can choose, just click the link where u can find the usmle recommeded hotels if u click left and commercial ones if u click right.
hope it helps....oh...if u r doing yr csa on 20th July, i would love to meet with u and practise some clinical skills, wouldn't mind sharing a room too.

till then, happy studying...
ruby.

just checked philadelphia international house website. it says "Optional $25 linen fee (includes one set of sheets, a pillowcase and towels for personal use during your stay)". has anyone stayed one or two nights over there before? except $65 for one-night single bedroom charge, were you charged $25 for the linen fee? thanks for your info.

hi sing, i think they gonna charge $25 for linen in addi to $65. also some extra if we like to use internet. and if we book online, nonrefudable booking fee $25 will be charged. but it still beats other places coz they all charge over 100$+gov tax.

hi Ria, how could u book and get discount $50 in sheraton?? i email them and mentioned CS examinee but they give me 124$+gov tax. any input?? thanx.

i am panic now. just called philadelphia international house. no room on 19th june. same no room in sheraton. called divine tracy hotel. they do have room. but then they don't accept credit card. only accept cash and money order. i have out of usa. so i am not sure how to do it. if i mail cash to them, how can i know by the time money arrives whether the room is still available. any suggestion for any hotel near to the test center on 19th june? cheap hotel preferred. thanks a lot.

hi sing, i just got email from philadelphia sheraton yesterday, so the prise is as above, its such a big hotel...try to call one more time...if not try corner stone breakfast, i don't know exact website. u should be able to find from usmle.com, go to cs centres location, then right click where there r commercial ad and that corner stone n breakfast in one of them. if u leftclick its where usmle recommended hotels. good luck.

yeah. you just cannot believe so many rooms in sheraton. but they all OUT. luckily, i just got one room in penn tower hotel. and i paid 148.20 in total. pretty expensive, isn't it. and it is already the discount price for usmle taker. three of us in one room. cornerstone only allows two person in one room.
