hey all....
I'm a USFMG graduated in august of 2004....Took Kaplan live lecture , used Goljan notes and qbank for one month.....I just got back from my exam.....WTF! It was no where near as difficult as I imagined. Basic classic cases....Buzz words galore....a lot of path and physio....anatomy was ridiculously basic as well as behavioral....nbme correlates really well...its actually a bit harder i think. there was a question directly from qbank too. I was on another forum and someone was talking about some questions from his exam....the exact same question came on mine.....Stay focused on path and phys....Goljan is key. My kaplan live lectures were probably the best help. My pharm prof. basically dictated some of the questions on my exam.., ditto with my path prof...Dr. barone....He is freakin unbelievable.....he is on par with Goljan....even better because of his memory aids......I was averaging 65 on qbank.....
I hope I pass...Maybe I thought the exam wasnt too bad because I was picking the distractors....We will see...Oh yeah.....there was hardly any pharm at all...Couple of genetics questions.....a lot of immuno....

Thank you so much for sharing the experience. Good luck on the score, and I am sure you did great.
I am wondering if I can ask two questions. What Goljan notes did you use, like how many pages? I realized that there are different ones our there, how to find a newer one? Or does it matter?

yo......i had goljan's class notes...they were 500 some pages long...he distributes them to people in his kaplan lectures...i got mine from a friend...people say his 100 page notes are great....the ones i had even had 150 review questions and high yield notes for all the other subjects also....
this is probably the best way for you to get the best score.....Dr. goljan is the king of this exam and someone has put up his notes online...............................FREEE!!!!!

hey im glad you feeling good leaving the exam. i felt liek that too, i also took kaplan live lecture and did goljan 3-4 times, and i felt like that too walking out the test center. ended up gettin 245/99.
did you take the kaplan lecture in chicago? thats where i did mine.
