Chi square

1)Uses only nominal data, this ,that ,those,--eg. gender, comparing among
treatment interventions.---any # of groups

2)Most commonly use method for calculating pvalues from a two by two
contingency table

3)Used to compare percentages or proportions rather than for comparison
of means

4)In so many words "It either does have or does not have whatever your
testing for, without attempting to quantify the # that does have, the data
represents frequencies rather than means

5)Chi square is calculated as the sum of all cells of (observed-expected)
squared/ expected.

6)The pvalue for this value of chi square is obtained from a table using
degrees of freedom equal to ( # of rows-1) times(# of columns-1)

doc4life,buddy-good q--I don't believe we neccesarily need step 5 and step6 but I would try to intergrate steps 1 thru 4. Hope this helps
