chronic rejection in transplant recepients.which type hypersensitivity?

  #2

Type IV

  #3

can u explain y ?cuz it says anitibody mediated vascular damage(fibrinoid necrosis)in FA which is type III-thanx in advance

  #4

hyperacute rejection= Preformed Ab against transplant = type 2
acute rejection= t-cell mediated CD8= type 4
chronic rejection= Ab+C* deposition in vessels= type 3

i had the same question so i looked them up in an immunology text book (Ivan Roitt), and i read somewhere that hyperacute is a localized arthus rejection (Type 3) but i think Roitt's is more reliable.

Roitt's 9th edition p359:
"Insidious and late rejection is associated with subendothelial deposits of Immunoglobulin and C3 on the GBM which may sometimes be an expression of an underlying immune complex disorder ( originally necessitating the transplant) or possibly of complex formation with the soluble antigens derived from the grafted kidney"

I'd just stick to the last post
