Hi, I am an IMG who has signed a prematch contract already and have taken my step 3 a week ago and waiting for the results to start processing the H1b visa. But currently I am out of status on B1 since February 1st,2005. Do I leave immediately to my home country to wait for the results and process the H1b from there OR I should wait for the results in 3 weeks and make sure I get it before I leave to take from my home country? I have spoken to my hospitals immigration attorney who says they can take it for me when my results is ready but thinks I should leave immediately. Any body experienced similar situation? and how did you go about it? Help please. Thanks

Check with an immigration attorney - I can't answer that question. If you are out of status, that needs to be fixed immediately.
