Hi bbb,
Thanks for all the advice you were giving during these match season.I need your advice ina personal issue now.
I got matched to a program and I am 5 months pregnant .My due date is towards the end of July(July 30) and I am planning to start my residency with others(in July) and take my one month vacation during the month of August.Since I have to get my vacation during August ,I have to inform them about this as early as possible.But my contract (the copy they gave)dont have PD's signature and I am afraid will they cancel my contract if they knew my condition.I am in good health now and I am having a full time helper to take care of the baby.I am going there for orientation from June 1st and is it enough telling them about this then ie June 1st or should I do it earlier?when do the programs usually make next year's schedule?

Sign and return your contract. As soon as you have the PD's signature on the contract, you will be fine. Actually you are okay now, because the participation in the match is pretty final.
As soon as you are comfortable, let the program know of your due date. The worse that can happen is that you start your residency after your maternity leave - August to September.
