If you have graduated then you can't apply for clerkship.

Observership/externship....not easy to come by.But as pointed out by bbb not all programmes want it.Don;t tell me all IMGs who matched had USCE and all those who didn;t match didn't have USCE.

Recently 1 friend of mine pre-mayched...0 USCE.
2 others didn;t match......more than 6months USCE!

Scores of all 3 similar.

Conclusion drawn: Interview skills more important than USCE.

If you still want to do something I've been told Boston Uni. offers research positions on volunteer basis.....try tht.
Also if you're still ardamant about USCE......I stronly suggest to apply in a well known programme and that too a place of your choice.....chances of you getting pre-match and being invited for interview in that particular place is high and so you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone(USCE and getting in place of choice).

Like nashua said what should be the wording of the letter even i sent a lot none replied

Oh yeah....try New York/New Jersey hospitals they are IMG friendly and are most likely to give you what you're looking for.I wouldn't waste my time in Mass. since there aren't too many IMG places there.

ABSO-FLIPPING-LUTELY!!!

We matched with 31 persons - 28 had no USCE at all.
