Folks

I am very depressed after looking my score report. I studied continously for 9 months and I found 172/72 score on my report. I were very confident after taking the exam, nywayz now that it has happened, would you suggest me when to take the exam again.

I studied all possible material, CMDT and revised kaplan atleast 5 times,
can you suggest me any other study material / approach for the exam, I am taking my Step 2 CS on April 11th and want to take this exam after Step 2 CS.

As any other examinee I am terribly depressed and want to go back to my home country,I never flunked in any of my career exams and m heartbroken. I guess you guys would give me some confidence.

Thanks,

Can you give me more confidence, still I am heartbroken. how do I start fresh? Will the failure stop me from getting into residency?

Did you notice a lot of step 1 material in your exam?

what materials did you use?

I studied Kaplan material, Qbook, CMDT material. Did i miss anything?
I am just waiting reply from everyone.

Yes, I did not little step 1 questions in the exam.

I just want to know that the failure doesnot stop me from getting into residency for 2006.

hi
i dont think failure in one step can prevent u from taking 2006 match.there are only a ew programs which put that condition.i dont think u should let urself feel so low.
just start fresh.i am now preparing fo rmy step 2.i am using kaplan only.

suggestion is look at your score sheet and concentrate first on the areas that you had the scored the weakest.

you should also consider USMLEWORLD and do Kaplan QReview. Try NBME 1 1 month before exam and NBME 2 two weeks before exam... so you can have a better grasp on where you stand.

you can read as much as you want but if you dont really understand the basic concepts, you're screwed.

Same thing happen to me, although i found that in my exam, i had so many questions from Usmle Step 1.. which i didnt bother reviewing over.
