hi guys, i will be starting to prepare for step 1 in about a month. however i don't know which books, lectures notes, qbanks, and etc are the best or most helpful. I would appreciate if people who took the exam can share their sources and any other tips to get started. thanks,,,

hey here s how it goes, this is for me . this was in the beginning. I did everything from the KAPLAN notes. And the KAPLAN WEBPREP lectures. And revision form FIRST AID u can go to www.kaplan.com to see what all they have available, cuz webprep was handed down to me from someone so i just took it without complaint. BUT, now i m on my 3rd revision and here s what i know; KAPLAN pharmacology sucks to no end!!!!!! i mean it has all the material but its organised so badly that its painful to read. so i changed that book to USMLE ROAD MAP and FIRST AID. I also did embryo and neuro from HIGH YEILD cuz i just felt like it and i had the books and i liked them better, but kaplan was okay too. Oh and i wish i had done micro from "RIDICULOUSLY SIMPLE" cuz its a good book and easier to remember but i m so indecisive and unorganised that it just never happened. AND many people have done patho from GOLIJAN and they say its awesome. I just never got em in the beginning and now i m not up for new things. thats all. i think. good luck.
