A positive HIV patient states that he does not wish to begin therapy until his health begins to detoriate He has ask you to be discreet about his status, he has not told employer his status because he feels this maight jeopardized his job His is married and says hos spouse knows of his status; however she has never accompanied him to the clinic Which of the following is the most appropriate course of action A. i think its E. coz the spouse already knows of his status and therefore the infection is probably not a threat to his/her health. although the best advice is to ask the patient and the partner to come in together.... but since that is not an option. the employer should not be informed without the patients consent.

advise the infected partner to inform partner.... confidentiality remains w/ employers...
