hi guys came up with a easy mneumonic for differential DX of patients with pain during with sexual intercourse: Just think and pronounce this as "BUSY BED cancer" with an accent:

PAIN WITH INTERCOURSE:
"VC VED CANCER"
Vaginitis(C T Garden=candida,trichomoanas, gardenella)
Cervicitis(PID)
Vaginismus
Endometriosis
Domestic Abuse
Cancers of pelvis like cervix,uterus, etc

Nice mnemonic but don't you think other than hotflash the rest are post-menopausal symp/comp. It is very useful though. Good Job!

a revision for the mnemonic LIQORAAA. May use FLICQORAAA(M)

F - Frequency (how many times per day or per week)
L - Location
I - Intensity
C - Constant/Intermittent
Q - Quality
O - Onset
R - Radiation
A - Alleviating Factors
A - Aggravating Factors
A - Associated Factors
M - Relation to Meals (optional for abd pain)

hi guys,
i have my exam on june 12th and am very worried about he pediatric cases!!!!
i have a doubt as to what to ask for the milestones?


should we ask IS YOUR CHILD'S MILESTONES GOOD?
or WHEN DID YOUR CHILD FIRST SMILE, FIRST SIT UP etc.....?

I would really appreciate if some one guide me on this....

For psychiatric cases:

S: sleep ( how many hour, nightmares, flashbacks, etc)
I: interest, What do you do in your free time? How are you doing in your job? do you enjoy what you do?
G: Guilty/ angry
E: Energy
M: mood. ( anxious, sad, hopeless, lonely?
C: concentration
A: appetite, changes in your weight
P: psychomotor agitation/retardation
S: suicide , plan , attempts

HELP: family and friends support, realize about the problem, want help, attitude

M: memory problems
D: delusions/ hallucintions

Plus

SH
FH and PMH: focused to psychiatric illness.
