1)You had mentioned that its best to send in applications the earliest. Within the first 3-4 weeks or within the first few days?When would you call it late....a month later,6weeks later?From your experience those who get invited to your programme for an interview.....when had these individuals sent in their applications?
Within the first month of the ERAS application process. No later than Mid October.
2)When do you(and other Program Co-ordinators if you know any) actually seriously downloading the applications for the PD to review?
As soon as the ERAS post office opens.
3)Does the PD ask you to screen the applications initially(IMGs/AMGs,year of grad.,scores etc...)and then forward the remaining applicants to him or you just pass the whole bulk to him/her for him/her to go through?If this is the case.....how does he/she get the time to go through thousands of applications??
Different programs will do different things. What I do for IM and what someone else does in FP or Radiology could be completely different. So, I guess, I'm not answering (but not ignoring) this question..... :wink:
