1)You're welcome/All are welcome

2)Phuluong, "I can't impress this enough" I think we should hammer the vaccine issue a liitle since its one of the relatively few areas in Medicine where we ARE effective. :idea: :shock:

hi

Goljan HY, say influenza vaccine is killed & egg based

My q ask for live vaccine and the answer is MMR

Live vaccine can not give to immunocompromised patients but the live MMR vaccine is the only we can give to AIDS

'cause the natural infection for measles is worse than the one that potentially could happen with the attenuated

  #6

yeah attenuated measles vaccine is hardly usea now.......coz it causes atypial measles(wht ever th means)

In HIV infections if cd4 count is below 200 measle and rubella vaccines are contraindicated.{Pages 1254 -1256 in CMDT} Mumps vaccine is relatively safe.

Also a trivalent live attenuated Infuenza vaccine as single dose may be available in HIV infection {page 1256 page in 2004 edition of CMDT}
