How many glucose necessary to build palmitic acid ?

1 glucose (6C) ---> 2 pyruvate (3C) ---> 2 acetyl CoA (2C) + 2 CO2
Palmitic Acid (16C) ie 8 acetyl CoA needed
so 4 molecules of glucose would be needed
