I took CS early this year in Janunary. The OASIS has not been updated, but it allows me to re-register this morning. The expiration date for this application should be Septembe 2005. Does this mean I failed CS?

What a life! I just failed CK one month ago. Does this mean I will not get into a residency even if I pass all of steps in the future? I am thinking quitting the usmle competition. It does not look like my game. GL to all of you winners.

Hi Luck2me2006,

Dont give up!

First of all, check oasis, doest it say "CS result sent on so and so date"

If yes,...you can then try the trick to reregister.

Nexxt,.....if you have failed CK, and God forbid, CS as well (ceck it again), it doesnt mean you will not get a residency. Pass your steps this yr and apply next yr.

These feelings are temporary, try to get over them quickly, and get ready for the coming yr!

You can get a residency if you try!

Check oasis, and see what it says about your score report,

Best of luck!

Dont worry! You can read some of my posts and see how freaked out I was also when I was wanting to do this process, I was very scared and even wanted to go to school again, but I told myslef that I have to do this and I am ! I passed on my 1st try, but Im sure ull find lots who have failed more than once and still are in a residency. SO the important thing is to not give up. We all are proffesionals, and we need to act this way. I was very worreid at the beginning also, coming form a different country, going thorugh a messy stage in my life, and....a friend of mine told me, take some time off, he said you might get their later than sooner, but the important thing is that we will get there. So thats the important thing, and dont think about anything else.

Thanks you all for the encouragement. The OASIS is not updated yet. It still shows my current eligibility period. But when I tried to re-register, I was allowed to do so. It said I can register now but I can only retake it 60 days after my last attempt. Then it showed my next eligibility starting date, which was exactly 60 days after my last exam date. It happened when I failed my CK one month ago.

I am reschedule my life since it will take some time for me to take next step. Thanks.

If your oasis is not yet updated, you should not try the oasis trick.

My oasis is not updated yet, it is not showing neither my exam date nor score report date.

If you have tried directly thru the CS scheduling date, it is not the correct way of oasis trick.

May you get your passing result soon!

Best of luck friend, and dont be sooooooooooooooo passimistic, you will do it, sooner or later!

sar, I will be very happy if I still have a chance to pass. But they already know when I took the CS. Otherwise, they could not calculate out my next eligibility period, which is exactly 60 days after my last CS exam date. If you already pass CS and you try to re-register, it will not allow you to do that. Have you tried that?

I am not that pessimistic. I wish I was still single. when I told my wife that I was allowed to re-registered for the 2nd time in a row (the 1st time was about one month ago). She looked much much worse than myself. It is not just the money $1,200 +$670, it has something else in it. I have to adjust it so that no one is totally pissed off. I have to do more homework and spend more time with my kids so that she feels it is balanced.

well, I do hold my hands together on my chest every night, and wish GOD is right here with me. He has been gone too long.

Hi luck2me2006,

I wish you best of luck for the next yr!

I know how difficult it is to study as a married person. We have to think about all others who are suffering with us, not just only our selves.
But think like that....you are doing all this for them (for your wife and kids). They are suffering now (because of lack of time spending with you) but they will be the one who will enjoy your success later!

Best of luck!
