Insulin is needed for glucose uptake into cell but is not required for fatty acid uptake into cells

It is true, i pick in a download of value MD, but i have not yet checked it

Insulin is only needed for glucose uptake into muscle cells and adipose tissue (via GLUT4), while other tissues have insulin-independent glucose uptake.
FFA don't need insulin, because they are hydrophobic and pass membranes by simple diffusion.
So, I would say TRUE
