USMLE Step 2 CS (Clinical Skills) is a standardized multi patient test of medical students and physicians ability to gather information, perform physical exam, and communicate with patients.
The patients are lay people trained to portray a clinical problem. The method of assessment is referred to as a standardized patient examination. The standardized patient–based testing method was established more than 30 years ago, and its parocedures have been tested and validated worldwide.
