hello everyone.
Id like to quickly share my kaplan experience with you all. I travelled all the way from south america to attend Kaplan's deluxe live prep course for step 1 which was 2 months long but very expensive. 3250 dollars to be exact not including the hotel I stayed at for 2 months which charged me 1300 a month and my plane ticket and food and well the list goes on and on, over all I spent about 12,000 dollars in 2 months!!!! well, now the answer to my question????? yes... If i had the 12,000 dollars again id do it again. the classes are amazing, the teachers are excellent and they put you into a sort of "boot camp" that prepares you not only for the exam but psyches you out for preparing yourself the right way for the exam. anyway, it was a great way to spend my vacation, I met people from all over the world and made many friends. and I still had a few days to go sight seeing and even to get drunk ( but still get all the essentials for step 1 crammed into my head for exam day) unfortunately i chose not to take my step 1 not b/c i wasnt prepared but b/c i still have another few years to go in med school and i want to prepare slowly but of my friends who took the exam they mostly passed . well, anyway, kaplan was good but I havent taken the falcon course (kaplan's rival) personally and i wouldnt be able to say which one is better, but the classes and the teachers and the structure of the courses make you eager to learn as much as you can. anyhow, good luck to everyone in your studies for step 1.

strange...
i think that watching the videos or even listening to them can be enough...i scored 258/99 ..and i only used audio lectures.....and if the live course can only get u through the exam...with out any extraordinary score i think that it might not be worth it.... just an opinion...and best of luck to all of you guys..with extra...3250 dollars in pockets... i really envy u ppl
