Neonatal Hepatitis : Conjugated hyperbilirubinemia .. due to neonatal
cholestasis mostly extrahepatic biliary atresia.

Question is : If the cholestasis presists .. would hte Conjugated hyperbilirubinemia convert to an unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia?

I dont know the answer to this ..

conjugated bilirubin is water solube, it is excreted in the urine, so i don't think it can convert into unconjugated bilirubin

huMmm .. But then Y is there a jaundice .. Even though the conjugated bilirubin is excreted in the urine ?

why does a diabetic pt. has elevated glucose lvels evn though glucose is excreted in the urine.

don't be confused buddy......conjugted bilirubin does not undergo 100% clearance
