56 yr/o F is found apneic and pulseless.cardiac moniraing shows sinus tachycardia at the rate of 130 .what is the most appropriate next step in the managment?

In Kaplan lectures for pulseless electric activity, no breathing, no pulse the ans is SHOCK!

shock, shock, shock, then Intubute/ epinephrine, shock, then lidocaine, shock, bretylium, shock

i find both correct...can anyone explain which one is first step...SHOCK or INTUBATE?????

i think its shock, takes less time than intubation and might get the pulse back. !! but its my opinion!rolling eyes

The ALS order of things is A,B,C,D ...therefore secure the airway first...whats the use in restoring sinus rhythm when your patient has suffered irreparable anoxic brain injury?

man does it even have a right answer.

it seems like abc is the right choice but so does shock. indi man give it to us

its shock always then abcd.survival drops by ten% per min. by the tilme u intubate the pt the survival will drop by 50 to 60 %.shock first to get the the pulse going and then do whatever u like with him.the order isas merrk says. shock , epi if v fib. lido if v tach. anything which needs to be done before shock is ekg to know the type of PEA.
