you are correct ssrpk. Ventricular fibrillation usually in athletes after extraordinary exertion. In IHSS----asymmetrical septal hypertrophy-----left ventricular outflow tract is narrowed during systole-----worsed by factors which inc: myocardial contractlity(digoxin,sympathatic NS stimulator) or dec: left ventricular filling(valsalva maneuver).

i agree with u ....but u mentioned factors worsening the condition. how can dec. ventricualr feiiling(valsalva manuever) initiate ventricular fibrillation?

yeah you are right, it due to VF, the cause is the existing abnormal conduction pathway ( i forget the exact name )
