I hope there is someone who can help me. I am not getting any help from my school. I finished all my clinical rotations and was ready to graduate from my school and I found out that I failed CS. I know that I am going to be "kicked out" of the match but I am able to scramble.

Here is my question:

What is the chance of me landing a residency (family practice) with a failing CS? I am completely finished except that I am waiting to take my test again. I cannot graduate from my school without passing my CS as well. I already paid for my test again and I am scheduled to take it on April 2nd. Is it unheard of obtaining a scramble position given my situation. I would appreciate anyone's help as I feel quite helpless.
thanks for reading

I'll try to answer your queries as I'm no expert. If you've not officially graduated(since you said in order for that to happen you need to have pass CS) then its unlikely you can get a match since all post require you to have graduated.

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I understand what you mean...but the thing that I am wondering.....right now it is February and I am taking the test April 2nd and my school will graduate me on April 30th.....pending my results...and then I will be done.....I know I will be certified after the results. Most people who has matched are not even done until at least May....I will be ahead of them.

Question then:
Given my situation.....do you think I have a chance to scramble?

Thanks for looking

IN that case I would say it depends on the programme. If programme has no rpoblem with this arrangement then it should be fine.Wishing you all the best for the scramble and CS.
