I gave my exam last week..well it was a total disaster.I had studied so hard and I just couldnt believe what I saw there?It was s o very different than anything I ever did and I dont know where I went wrong.In the very first block I felt like walking away form there.But as the exam went I did start feeling a bit more comfortable.But donno if i passed.There were so many weired questions on immunology,behav sc questions were a bit confusing....
Anybody else who felt like I did.Please tell me its ok to feel like that and I would pass.This exams results mean a lot for my future.please share your experiences with me.Thanks for your help...

Ria, you actually do not know how you have done. I walked out of exam thinking thats the worst I've ever ever done. I had'nt slept at all the night before, nearly fell asleep in the first block, was dizzy thru the day, felt I did everyone of those stupid q wrong, cried for days and today I checked oasis and apparently I've passed.
I don't think I'l have a very high score but after the way I felt about the exam, I'l settle for anything. This post exam death (my term for this feeling) does'nt tell you anything about your final grade.
So just wait for your result. In the meantime, try and take some time off and keep your mind away from the result - easier said than done - but do take this advice from someones whos given themselves a very painful month.
Bottom line is - till the score is reported - hang in there!!

Man you saved my life...no seriously thats the best advise I have ever heard.Thanks alot.I suppose you are right whether I pass or fail I really gotta take a break right now.So that i be prepared for which ever step I have to take next....Thanks once again.
I wish all the best for you.If you passed you must have done good too,so dont worry.Good luck for step2!
When are you plaaning to give the step2 anyways?

hey ria
after i wrote my exam i felt like shit too. made loads of silly mistakes and i pined over them for the longest time. anyways, i got my results back last week and i was surprised with my score so you shouldnt worry too much as you never know what can happen.

i really wish they would just give you the score right after you take the test like the GRE. i hate this waiting game garbage. i really feel for you guys, since i take my exam in a month and i know ill be in your guys shoes too. the sad thing is that ill have a mini vacation in the time ill be waiting for my scores, so basically ill be miserable and curious during the whole time.
im sure you guys did well, statistics are on your side....most people tend to pass.

i too had similiar experience. i just took exam. i recalled 200 questions i got in test and i think 120 r surely right while 15 r definitely wrong and rest i m unable to figure out coz i m unable to recall the question stem clearly.i m feeling anxious

Thanks all of you guys...
Guess what despite my worries I PASSED
Even though my score is not that great..well as amatter of fact its bad..I got 82..
I hope it wont ruin my chances of a good residency position...
But to all of you out there,its natural to think that you did bad after the exam but if i could pass after what I did on my exam,then I am sure anyone can do it too...GOOD LUCK
I will keep my fingers crossed for all of you guys..
