78 in step 1 ....can i get a residency anywhere at all ..should i give up the dream all together ...visa is really no problem though ...

i got a 185/76 on step 1... i'm ranking 6 places... yes, you can get interviews, and possibly a residency.. obviously nothing is guaranteed unless you have a contract presented in front of you

sure you can get a residency......don't give up!!! I've know people with lower scores and people who passed the steps on 2nd attempt and the still get into a residency. if you like FP apply in family practice on the east coast...apply early starting september...you'll get a lot of interviews..
