pt of hypercalcemia coz of hyperparatyroidism or any cause of increased ca. + renal stones .... how to manage...

can u give thiazides or frusemide??? if thiazides they increase blood ca....>>>> stones

if frusemide>>> INCREASE excretion >>> stones!! hmmmm ... HELP GUYS!!

I knew that for stones you use loop diaretics. LOOPS LOOSE CALCIUM>>>>LESS STONES ...dont use thiazides

thiazides reabsorb calcium-->hypercalcemia
they decrease urinary ca so, do not cause stones

thiazides are used in pts with hypercalciuria with ca oxalate stones

loop diuretics increase ca excretion so, --->hypercalciuria--->stone formation

but pt with ^ca in blood>>>>stones no? so thiazides wont do it??
