thiazides reabsorb calcium-->hypercalcemia they decrease urinary ca so, do not cause stones thiazides are used in pts with hypercalciuria with ca oxalate stones loop diuretics increase ca excretion so, --->hypercalciuria--->stone formation

but pt with ^ca in blood>>>>stones no? so thiazides wont do it??
