A 6 month old boy previously healthy comes to your office and his mom complains he has a decreased oral intake for 2 days. The baby is irritable and his rectal tem is 37.4 (99.4), pulse is 215 and respirations are 55/min. Radial and posterior tibial pulses are low with good brachial and femoral pulses. EKG shows tachy. QRS is narrow with no p waves. What is the most appropriate next step in management? A. IV Verapamil B. Ice bag on face for 10 seconds C. IV adenosine D. Cardiac pacing

this is SVT 1st step to control ac episode is ice bag on face fr 10 s (diving reflex) or vagal stimulation like valsalva/ carotid sinus massage if not controlled then adenosine is the DOC if venous access is not available, then go fr electric cardioversion
