Kaplan Qbank USMLE

In Kaplan's note, page 276, there's an error in the formula of O2 content. We need to cross out cardiac output there, but then in the following paragraph, the reasoning based on the originally wrong formula gets me confused. Should we cross out the word "cardiac output" in the sentences below as well?

1, "The two important factors are cardiac output and the hemoglobin level and saturation".

2, in a critical ill patient it's of vital important.. and cardiac output... "

Does Cardiac output have anything to do with O2 delivery to tissue at all? even though it's not in the formula, my guts somehow tell me it's playing some role in here. Anybody can tell me? thanks,
