what is the characteristic presentation in brown seqaurd syndrome?
1-bilateral spastic paresis
2- ipsilateral loss of tactile, propioception and vibration
3-ipsilateral loss of pain and temperature sensation.
4-all of the above
5-none of the above

  #2

Is it 2

  #3

I think it's 2 as well. Brown-Sequard syndrome results from hemisection of the spinal cord.

  #4

you are both right.well done!

  #5

Also:
Contralateral loss of pain and temp.
Contralateral loss of touch
leg ataxia , Horners,
ipsilateral UMN and LMN lesion
Compared to Lou Gehrig's ds it DOES have sensory deficits!
And its an ipsilateral spastic paresis

tactile=touch. therefore touch should be ipsilateral in brown-sequard syndrome. please correct me if i am wrong.

  #7

fine touch-ipsilateral
crude touch - contralateral (ventral spinothalamic tract)
